Group: Practice Music Video Task

Rudimental - Feel the Love

LB: After watching a few of Rudimental’s music videos as a class we realised different techniques used by the director that we wanted to try our self. In the videos Slow-mo shoots were common to show what shots are more important than others. However this shot was not always matched to the music, the videos has an alternative style where the cutting rate did not always match the tempo of the song. Another technique used was that the camera was always moving in shots e.g. Pan Shots

So as a class we split into groups and had the task to create 1 minute and 20 seconds of a music video for Rudimental – Feel the Love. We had to try using slow motion, and try to keep the camera moving at all times, as well as making sure everyone in the group was in the video at least once.

This task was very helpful, we used the track for the first time which was very helpful as we can know use it in the near future. And we are happy with the way our slow motion shots came out. The techniques we used in this video will be something we want to use in our final video.
